September 2007 saw the Necarne Castle International Horse Trials successfully completed. It was great to see lots of regular faces back to Necarne, but best of all we had lots of newcomers who thoroughly enjoyed their week of competiton. Necarne is renowned throughout the world for its friendliness and so a number of our first time international competitors vowed they would be back again to avail of the world class facilities and hotly contested classes.

The weather was fantastic – apart from Sunday morning, which meant a quick re-scheduling of the Prize Giving to be held indoors in the Shackleton Crean Marquee! But the Fermanagh sunshine was back out on Sunday afternoon to see Matthew Wright take 1 st and 2 nd places in the CCI**.

Our thanks must go to everyone involved in this fantastic event and especially to all our sponsors, volunteers and officials and especially to Fermanagh District Council and the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise. Plans are already underway for 2008, our dates are 18 th – 21 st September and it promises to be another great event for Co Fermanagh.
